Meet the team

Jennifer
Registered Psychotherapist
My name is Jennifer, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
My personal background includes a Master's degree in Theology and a Master's degree in Clinical Counselling. Professionally, I have worked in pastoral ministry, education, Psychological Services within an Ontario school board, private practice, and as a Clinical Supervisor of Master's-level practicum students.
I believe that our experiences—particularly our early relationships and experiences of connection, safety, and belonging—can shape the ways we understand ourselves, relate to others, and respond to the world around us. Sometimes the patterns that once helped us cope can leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward.
I believe you don't have to lose yourself in caring for others. You can learn to care for yourself, too!
My practice has a particular focus on developmental trauma and attachment, and I work with individuals who want to better understand the deeper patterns beneath their struggles. I draw from Attachment-Focused Therapy, EMDR, and Parts Work among other therapeutic approaches, integrating these approaches thoughtfully and collaboratively according to each person's needs.
For those who desire it, I also offer faith-integrated therapy, drawing on my theological background and clinical training to create space for the Christian faith to be meaningfully incorporated into the therapeutic process.
A key focus for me is always seeking to find the traces of goodness and joy in the moment. When we remind ourselves to be aware of and even embrace the gifts of the moment, we can allow hope to slowly grow within us. Hope helps us to find strength to move forward even in the most difficult situations!
My goal is to bring my education, professional experience, and life experience to our work together—to help you develop greater understanding and compassion for yourself, work through what may be holding you back, and move toward greater freedom, hope, and authentic joyfulness.
If you're ready to begin that journey, I would be honoured to walk alongside you.

For a lower cost counselling option, consider working with one of our fully supported and supervised Master's level Intern Therapists.
Our Intern Therapists are students who are completing a Practicum for their Master's degrees in order to be eligible for Registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
Please note: We want to be sure we are supporting you responsibly, which means that our Intern Therapists are not able to work, at this time, with severe mental illness, active addiction, recent suicide attempts, eating disorders, specific treatment of trauma, or court-mandated therapy.

At times, life can leave us feeling weary, wounded, or uncertain of the path ahead. Experiences of loss, change, relationship difficulties, or spiritual struggle can affect our sense of peace and make it difficult to recognize hope. Yet even in painful and uncertain seasons, healing and new life remain possible.
I believe that every person possesses inherent dignity and is worthy of being received with compassion, reverence, and without judgment. My desire is to offer a safe and peaceful space where you can share your story, attend to what is happening within you, and explore the places where you may be seeking healing, meaning, or a renewed sense of God's presence.
My approach is integrative and attentive to the whole person—mind, body, relationships, and spirit. I recognize that faith can be a source of strength and comfort, while also sometimes becoming a place of questioning, struggle, or longing. When desired, I welcome the opportunity to incorporate Christian faith, prayerful reflection, and spirituality into the counselling process, always respecting your individual beliefs and needs.
I am currently completing a Master of Divinity in Counselling (Clinical Track) at Tyndale University. Additionally I am a Certified Spiritual Director. My formation in counselling and spiritual direction has deepened my belief in the sacredness of each person's story and the importance of being faithfully accompanied through life's difficult seasons.
It would be a privilege to walk alongside you as you seek greater understanding, healing, inner freedom, and hope.

Not all who wander are lost — but sometimes we feel stuck in a loop. We wish we had more clarity to understand the path we are on, and tools to better equip us for the journey.
My goal is to walk with you and equip you so that you can navigate the challenging situations and seasons that you encounter on this complex, extraordinary, and sometimes heartbreaking adventure we call life. I hope that with the skills and experience I bring to the therapy room, I can help you to take the next step in your journey with hope and confidence.
My educational background includes a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, and I am currently completing my Master's in Clinical Counselling. I have worked with diverse populations in various clinical settings including hospitals, community mental health, and outpatient clinics. I take an integrative trauma-informed approach to therapy and draw from aspects of Family Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I am passionate about taking a holistic approach to health and believe that our physical, mental, social, and spiritual health all play significant roles in our overall quality of life.
